After the first round of an Internet voting for the non-profit “Travel.ru Star” award Solovki made it into the top five pilgrims’ destinations.

Other winners are Khutyn Monastery of Saviour's Transfiguration and of St. Varlaam in the Novgorod region, the Valaam Monastery, the city of Murom, and Bogolyubovo settlement in the Vladimir region.

The official Internet-portal of the Solovetsky archipelago also takes part in the voting, and also made it into the second round. The second voting round started on January 15^th and will close on February 15^th.

The awarding ceremony will take place on March 18^th at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition.
