September 7 2015 12:00

Chinese “Poly Technologies Inc.” plans to open its representative office in Arkhangelsk. The news was delivered by the Acting Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov at the weekly briefing in the Government of the Arkhangelsk region on September 7th.

The Governor also reported about importance of the agreement signed between “Belkomur JSC” and “Poly Technologies Inc.”. The agreement will regulate the process of construction and attraction of investments to the Belkomur (the White Sea (Beloye in Russian) – Komi – the Urals) railroad.

— We have signed a strategic agreement with China. It covers not only the construction of Belkomer, but also creation of the deep-water port area in Arkhangelsk. It is an ambiguous question, but the documents are signed and the actions are clear, – Igor Orlov noted. – This project is very promising for the Arkhangelsk region in general and in particular for development of its districts: Pinezhsky, Verkhnetoyemsky, Leshukonsky and other districts where the road is planned for construction.

The Acting Governor added that the Chinese partners are planning to open their representative office in Arkhangelsk.

— The negotiations continue, and the Chinese partners will file an application to the Government of the Arkhangelsk region concerning facilities and staff, and we will prepare our suggestions. We need to work out these questions together with the City Hall. That way Arkhangelsk will get a representative office of the corporation listed in top 500 world’s largest corporations, – Igor Orlov emphasized.
