“Barents Roots” is the annual youth forum organized by Barents Regional Youth Council. The current year’s forum topic sounded like “Traditions and Culture of the Northerners”.
This year the forum was held in Inari (Finland) and brought together most participants: over 70 young people from 13 regions of Barents cooperation and representatives of northern indigenous peoples groups.
During “Barents Roots” forum there was a meeting of Barents Regional Youth Council where representatives of different regions discussed the perspectives of its further activities as well as BEAC Joint Working Group on Youth activity and Murmansk facilitation office promoting youth cooperation in the Barents region.
The participants from the Arkhangelsk region took part in this event with the assistance of Arkhangelsk Region Ministry on Youth Affairs and Sports and Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
