Arkhangelsk office of the Union of Russian Artists features works of photographers from Russia, Norway, Germany and Sweden. Biennale includes exhibitions, lectures, workshops, presentations and discussions.

Within the framework of the festival two exhibitions are open for visitors in the exhibition hall of the Union of Russian Artists. The first exhibition shows a part of the collection of the St. Petersburg State Museum and Exhibition Center Rosphoto. These are works of young photographers from Canada, Germany and the USA. The second exhibition showcases works of Maria Gradin from Lofoten islands, Norway, picturing Arkhangelsk and the Arkhangelsk region in year 1999.

The photography festival is organized by the Arkhangelsk office of the Union of Russian Artists, and is supported by the Arkhangelsk Region Ministry on Culture, Nordland Culture Council, and the General Consulate of Germany in St. Petersburg.
