Various issues of practical cooperation were discussed today during a meeting of Governor Igor Orlov with the chiefs of Oboronlogistika and Sovfracht companies.
The agreement with Oboronlogistika JSC was signed in June during the St.-Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Its implementation provides development of the efficient logistic system in the Arctic.
Opening the meeting Igor Orlov emphasized: “We are at the cusp of far-reaching changes of the Arctic logistics”.
Anton Filatov, Director General, Oboronlogistika JSCAnton Filatov, Director General, Oboronlogistika JSC, mentioned: “After 2017 the company will be all set to act as a united transport operator on behalf of the Ministry of Defence”.
Besides, a company’s branch will be founded in the Arkhangelsk region next week.
And the Arctic Maritime Operations Centre is going to be open in the framework of the branch.
Another project to be implemented in the Arkhangelsk region by Oboronlogistika JSC is the creation of modern industrial and logistics park.
Location requirements are quite rigid, but the region is able to comply with all conditions. Moreover, there is a perspective where the park should be founded.
Igor Orlov announced: “In terms of service level, industrial facilities and human resources Arkhangelsk sea port stands in one line with other Russia’s ports”.
