The forum «The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue» - will be held in the Arkhangelsk Region on a regular basis every two years

The Government of the Arkhangelsk Region has allocated a land plot for the construction of a large exhibition complex in the capital of Pomorie.

Let’s remind that starting in 2017, a large international event – the forum «The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue» – will be held in the Arkhangelsk Region on a regular basis every two years.

In November last year, the regional commission for investment policy and development of competition included the project of building an exhibition center in Arkhangelsk in the priority list.

The Ministry of Property Relations of the Arkhangelsk Region rented out for 10 years a land plot in Dachnaya Street, opposite the College of Telecommunications. The plot area is about 28 thousand square meters.

According to the plans of the investor, «Nord-Expo» company, the total area of exhibition venues of the complex will be 2,437 square meters. The project cost is estimated at 342 million rubles.

Geological surveys were started on the selected land plot, according to the results of which the project will be made. And with the receipt of permission from the city administration, construction will begin. The complex will be put into operation in 2018.

— The range of use of the new expocentre is huge: exhibitions, forums, conferences, seminars, sports competitions. And, of course, we expect to use this complex in the future as one of the sites for the events of the international Arctic forum, – Igor Orlov said.

According to the Executive Director of “Nord-Expo” Roman Myshev, it is planned to construct two buildings, one of which, 1,500 square meters, will be universal and can be operated for exhibition, congress and sports purposes:

«We are already interacting with Roskongress and have received wishes and recommendations for the future, which the developers should include into our project, so that by 2019 it will be possible to meet all the participants and guests of the next Arctic Forum up to the mark.»
