On January 29^th delegation of the Huadian Corporation visited the Arkhangelsk CHPP.

In November 2014 at the APEC forum the Russian TGK-2 JSC and the Chinese Huadian Corporation signed an agreement on energy facilities’ modernization in Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk. The agreement was signed in front of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

Huadian top managers examined the CHPP’s equipment and asked questions on residential and social objects’ heat supply system.

— TGK-2 takes responsibility for network and transport system, – Alexey Alsufyev, Vice-Governor of the Arkhangelsk region on Infrastructure Development, commented. – The Chinese party undertakes modernization of the CHPP itself. It means change of outdated equipment. Gas will remain the main fuel.

In the near future Huadian Corporation is to prepare an engineering proposal on equipment modernization project, and the terms of the upcoming trade. Currently the parties are negotiating parameters of investment agreement.
